Savor a delicious plate featuring a perfectly seared top sirloin steak infused with herb-garlic butter, paired with crispy roasted baby potatoes. This dish balances robust, savory flavors with a satisfying, fresh finish that makes it an ideal option for a hearty dinner.
INGREDIENTS
6 oz Top Sirloin Steak
150 grams Baby Potatoes
1 tablespoon Unsalted Butter
2 cloves Garlic
1 teaspoon Mixed Herbs (Rosemary & Thyme)
PREPARATION
Preheat the oven to 425°F for the roasted potatoes.
Wash the baby potatoes and cut them in half if they are large. Toss them in a small amount of olive oil (optional), sprinkle a pinch of salt, pepper, and half of the mixed herbs.
Spread the potatoes on a baking sheet and roast in the oven for 20-25 minutes until tender and lightly crispy.
While the potatoes are roasting, pat the steak dry and season both sides with salt and pepper.
Heat a heavy skillet (cast iron preferred) over medium-high heat. Add the steak and sear for about 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare, or adjust time according to your preferred doneness.
In the last minute of cooking, add the butter, minced garlic (from the 2 cloves), and remaining mixed herbs to the pan. Spoon the melted herb-garlic butter over the steak as it finishes cooking.
Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
Serve the sliced steak alongside the roasted baby potatoes, drizzled with any extra herb-garlic butter from the pan.
