INGREDIENTS
6 oz Top Sirloin Steak
1 tbsp Olive Oil
2 cloves Garlic
0.5 tsp Fresh Rosemary
0.5 tsp Fresh Thyme
1 tsp Lemon Juice
Salt and Pepper to taste
PREPARATION
Preheat your oven to 400°F for roasting the garlic.
Place the unpeeled garlic cloves on a small piece of foil, drizzle with a few drops of olive oil, wrap tightly, and roast in the oven for about 15-20 minutes until soft and fragrant.
While the garlic roasts, pat the steak dry with paper towels. Rub both sides with salt, pepper, fresh rosemary, and thyme.
Heat a heavy skillet over medium-high heat and add the olive oil. Once shimmering, place the steak in the pan.
Sear the steak for about 3-4 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or adjust cooking time to your preferred doneness.
After searing, remove the steak from the pan and let it rest for 5 minutes. Squeeze the roasted garlic out of its skin and lightly mix with a touch of lemon juice.
Drizzle the roasted garlic over the steak before serving, adding additional salt and pepper if needed.
