Savor a perfectly seared steak adorned with a fragrant herb-garlic butter, accompanied by tender, roasted baby potatoes. This dish offers a balanced blend of rich flavors and textures that make it a delightful meal any time of day.
INGREDIENTS
4 oz Top Sirloin Steak
100 g Baby Potatoes
1 tbsp Unsalted Butter
1 tsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1 Garlic Clove
2 sprigs Fresh Rosemary
2 sprigs Fresh Thyme
Salt & Pepper to taste
PREPARATION
Preheat your oven to 425°F for the potatoes.
Wash the baby potatoes and toss them with olive oil, salt, pepper, and a sprig of rosemary. Spread them out on a baking sheet and roast for about 20-25 minutes until tender and lightly browned.
Season the steak generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
Heat a heavy skillet over medium-high heat. Add the butter and allow it to melt.
Add the garlic clove (lightly smashed) and the remaining rosemary and thyme sprigs to the butter to infuse the flavor.
Place the steak in the skillet, searing each side for about 3-4 minutes for medium-rare, or adjust the time based on your preferred doneness.
During the last minute of cooking, spoon some of the herb-garlic butter over the steak to enhance its flavor.
Remove the steak from the skillet and allow it to rest for a few minutes before slicing.
Serve the sliced steak alongside the roasted baby potatoes, drizzled with any remaining herb butter from the pan.
