Herb-Garlic Butter Seared Steak with Roasted Baby Potatoes
Enjoy a savory plate of perfectly seared sirloin steak drizzled with herb-infused garlic butter paired with crispy roasted baby potatoes. The aromatic garlic and fresh parsley elevate the natural flavors of the steak, while the tender potatoes provide a comforting, yet light complement.
INGREDIENTS
5 ounces Sirloin Steak
100 grams Baby Potatoes
1 teaspoon Unsalted Butter
2 cloves Garlic
1 tablespoon Fresh Parsley
0.5 teaspoon Extra Virgin Olive Oil
PREPARATION
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). In a bowl, toss the baby potatoes with the extra virgin olive oil, a pinch of salt, and freshly ground pepper. Spread them out on a baking sheet.
Place the potatoes in the oven and roast for about 20-25 minutes or until they are tender and slightly crispy on the edges.
While the potatoes are roasting, take the sirloin steak and pat it dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
Preheat a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the steak and sear for about 3-4 minutes on each side for medium-rare (adjust time for desired doneness).
In the last 2 minutes of cooking, add the unsalted butter and crushed garlic cloves to the skillet. Spoon the melted herb-garlic butter over the steak continuously.
Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes. Slice it against the grain if desired.
Finish by garnishing the steak with fresh parsley and serve alongside the roasted baby potatoes.
