Enjoy a beautifully seared steak elevated with a fragrant herb-garlic butter, paired with crisp roasted baby potatoes. This dish delivers a satisfying blend of savory flavors and textures that work harmoniously for a balanced and energizing meal.
INGREDIENTS
5 oz Top Sirloin Steak
1/2 cup Baby Potatoes
1 tbsp Unsalted Butter
1 Garlic Clove
2 sprigs Fresh Thyme
2 sprigs Fresh Rosemary
1 tsp Olive Oil
Salt and Pepper to taste
PREPARATION
Preheat your oven to 400°F. Toss the baby potatoes with olive oil, salt, and pepper, and spread them on a baking sheet.
Roast the potatoes in the oven for about 20-25 minutes until tender and golden.
While the potatoes roast, pat the steak dry with paper towels, then season liberally with salt and pepper on both sides.
Heat a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the steak and sear for about 3-4 minutes on each side, depending on thickness and desired doneness.
In the last minute of cooking, add the butter, garlic, thyme, and rosemary to the skillet. Spoon the melted herb-garlic butter over the steak as it finishes cooking.
Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes. Slice if desired and serve alongside the roasted potatoes.
