INGREDIENTS
400g Extra Firm Tofu
1 tbsp Olive Oil
2 cloves Garlic
1 tbsp Fresh Thyme
1 tbsp Fresh Rosemary
1 tbsp Fresh Parsley
2 tbsp Lemon Juice
Salt and Pepper to taste
PREPARATION
Drain the extra firm tofu and press it for at least 15 minutes to remove excess moisture. Cut the tofu into 1/2-inch thick steaks.
In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, minced garlic, chopped fresh thyme, rosemary, parsley, and lemon juice. Season the marinade with salt and pepper.
Lay the tofu steaks in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them, making sure each piece is well coated. Allow the tofu to marinate for at least 15 minutes, or up to 30 minutes if time permits.
Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the marinated tofu steaks to the pan.
Cook the tofu for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden-brown and crispy at the edges.
Serve the pan-seared tofu steaks warm, drizzled with any remaining herb marinade. Enjoy as a main dish for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.
