INGREDIENTS
6 oz Boneless Pork Chop
1 medium Yellow Onion
1 tsp Olive Oil
1 tsp Mixed Dried Herbs (Rosemary & Thyme)
Salt & Black Pepper to taste
1 Lemon Wedge
PREPARATION
Pat the pork chop dry with a paper towel and season both sides liberally with salt, black pepper, and the mixed dried herbs.
Slice the yellow onion thinly.
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add the olive oil.
Add the seasoned pork chop to the skillet and sear for about 3-4 minutes on each side until a golden crust forms and the internal temperature reaches 145°F.
Remove the pork chop from the skillet and let it rest.
In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add the sliced onions. Stir occasionally, allowing them to slowly caramelize for about 8-10 minutes until they become soft and golden brown.
Plate the pork chop and top or serve alongside the caramelized onions. Squeeze a lemon wedge over the top for an added burst of freshness if desired.
