Enjoy a beautifully seared 6oz sirloin steak encrusted with fresh rosemary and thyme, perfectly complemented by the sweet, mellow roasted garlic. A simple yet flavorful dish that elevates dinner to a gourmet experience.
INGREDIENTS
6 oz Beef Sirloin Steak
3 Garlic Cloves
1 Tbsp Fresh Rosemary
1 Tbsp Fresh Thyme
1 Tsp Olive Oil
Pinch Sea Salt
Pinch Black Pepper
PREPARATION
Pat the steak dry with paper towels and season both sides lightly with sea salt and black pepper.
Finely chop the fresh rosemary and thyme, then rub them evenly onto the steak to create an herb crust.
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add the olive oil.
Place the steak in the hot skillet and sear for about 3-4 minutes on each side for medium-rare, adjusting the time to your desired doneness.
While the steak cooks, lightly crush the garlic cloves using the flat side of a knife.
In a small pan, add the garlic with a dash of olive oil and gently roast over low heat for 1-2 minutes until they are softened and aromatic, being careful not to burn them.
Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes to allow the juices to redistribute.
Slice the steak against the grain, top with the roasted garlic, and serve immediately.
