Enjoy a perfectly seared strip steak infused with garlic and fresh herbs, paired with crispy rosemary potatoes. This dish delivers a delightful balance of savory meat and herby roasted potatoes, making it a satisfying meal for any time of day.
INGREDIENTS
5 oz Strip Steak
100 g Potato
1 tsp Olive Oil
2 cloves Garlic
2 sprigs Fresh Rosemary
2 sprigs Fresh Thyme
Pinch Salt
Pinch Black Pepper
PREPARATION
Pat the strip steak dry and season with salt and black pepper on both sides.
Mince the garlic and roughly chop the fresh rosemary and thyme.
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add half of the olive oil.
Sear the steak for 2-3 minutes on each side for medium-rare, adding half of the garlic and herbs during the last minute of cooking. Remove the steak and let it rest.
Meanwhile, thinly slice the potato into rounds. Toss them with the remaining olive oil, a pinch of salt, pepper, and the remaining chopped garlic and herbs.
In a separate pan, over medium heat, cook the potato slices until they are golden and crispy, about 8-10 minutes, flipping once.
Serve the rested steak alongside the crispy rosemary potatoes and garnish with an extra sprig of rosemary if desired.
