Meanwhile, steam the green beans until they are just tender, about 4-5 minutes.
In another pot, steam the cauliflower until fork-tender, approximately 8-10 minutes. Drain and mash with a fork or potato masher, mixing in the remaining 1 teaspoon of olive oil, garlic (minced), lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
Toss the steamed green beans with a pinch of salt and a drizzle of olive oil if desired.
Plate the salmon alongside the garlic mashed cauliflower and green beans. Serve immediately.
