Herb-Crusted Pan-Seared Steak with Roasted Garlic
Enjoy a succulent pan-seared top sirloin steak with a savory herb crust and the rich sweetness of roasted garlic. This dish balances the deep flavors of seared beef with fresh, aromatic herbs and a hint of extra olive oil, all enhanced by a touch of butter for a silky finish.
INGREDIENTS
6 oz Top Sirloin Steak
2 roasted Garlic Cloves
1 tsp Olive Oil
1 tsp Unsalted Butter
1 tbsp Fresh Herbs (Rosemary, Thyme, Parsley)
Salt & Pepper to taste
PREPARATION
Preheat a heavy skillet over medium-high heat.
Pat the steak dry and season both sides with salt and pepper.
In a small bowl, combine the chopped fresh herbs with olive oil. Rub this mixture over the steak to form a light herb crust.
Add the olive oil to the hot skillet and sear the steak for about 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare, or adjust according to your preferred doneness.
While the steak is searing, gently roast the garlic cloves. You can either roast them in the oven wrapped in foil at 400°F for 15-20 minutes or use a quick sauté in a separate pan with a small dab of butter until soft and caramelized.
Once seared, add the butter to the skillet and baste the steak with the melted butter for extra flavor.
Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
Plate the steak with the roasted garlic cloves on the side and serve immediately.
