Enjoy a light yet satisfying dinner featuring a delicately seared turkey patty paired with tender roasted sweet potato and vibrant steamed broccoli. This dish is elevated by a gentle drizzle of olive oil and a touch of butter, creating a harmonious balance of savory and naturally sweet flavors.
INGREDIENTS
1.5 oz Ground Turkey (approx. 42g)
1 piece Sweet Potato (approx. 100g)
0.75 cup Broccoli (approx. 100g)
1 tsp Olive Oil for searing
1 tsp Olive Oil for roasting
1 tsp Butter for finishing broccoli
Salt & Pepper to taste
PREPARATION
Preheat your oven to 400°F.
Season the ground turkey with salt and pepper, then form into a patty.
Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat and add 1 tsp olive oil. Sear the turkey patty for about 2-3 minutes per side, or until lightly browned. Reduce heat and cover to ensure it cooks through. Set aside.
Peel (if desired) and cube the sweet potato into even pieces. Toss with 1 tsp olive oil, salt, and pepper, and spread evenly on a baking sheet. Roast in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until tender and slightly caramelized.
While the sweet potato roasts, steam the broccoli. Place broccoli florets in a steamer basket over boiling water and steam for about 5-7 minutes until crisp-tender. Once done, toss the steamed broccoli with 1 tsp butter, salt, and pepper.
Plate the seared turkey patty with a serving of roasted sweet potato cubes and steamed broccoli. Serve immediately.
