This dish blends vibrant flavors and textures – the juicy chicken with a rich, aromatic sauce complemented by a lightly smoky, crisp green vegetable – creating a mouthwatering meal that delights both the palate and senses.
INGREDIENTS
6 oz Chicken Breast
1 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
2 cloves Garlic
1 tbsp Fresh Thyme
1 tbsp Fresh Rosemary
1 tsp Lemon Juice
1 cup Broccolini
Salt and Black Pepper to taste
PREPARATION
Pat the chicken breast dry and season both sides generously with salt and black pepper.
Heat half of the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken breast for about 4-5 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Remove chicken from the skillet and set aside to rest.
In the same skillet, add the remaining olive oil and minced garlic. Sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
Stir in the fresh thyme and rosemary, allowing the herbs to release their aromas.
Deglaze the pan with lemon juice, scraping up any browned bits to form the base of your sauce.
Return the chicken to the skillet and coat with the developed pan sauce, letting it simmer for an additional minute.
Meanwhile, over high heat in another pan or on a grill, char the broccolini with a light drizzle of olive oil, seasoning with salt and pepper. Sauté for about 3-4 minutes until slightly tender and charred on the edges.
Plate the chicken with a drizzle of the garlic-herb sauce over the top alongside the charred broccolini. Serve immediately.
