INGREDIENTS
14 oz Extra Firm Tofu (approx 400g)
2 cloves Garlic
1 tbsp Fresh Ginger
2 tbsp Low Sodium Soy Sauce
1 tbsp Rice Vinegar
1 tsp Cornstarch
1 tbsp Sesame Oil
2 tbsp Green Onions
PREPARATION
Press the tofu for at least 20 minutes to remove excess moisture, then cut it into 1/2-inch thick slices.
In a shallow bowl, lightly dust the tofu pieces with cornstarch. This will help achieve a crispy exterior.
Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat, add a small amount of cooking spray or oil. Place the tofu slices in the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden and crispy.
While the tofu is cooking, mince the garlic and grate the fresh ginger. In a small bowl, combine the garlic, ginger, low sodium soy sauce, rice vinegar, and sesame oil. Stir well to create the garlic ginger sauce.
Once the tofu is cooked to a crisp, remove it from the skillet and drizzle the prepared sauce over the tofu. Garnish with chopped green onions.
Serve immediately and enjoy the harmonious blend of crispy tofu with the vibrant, tangy garlic ginger sauce.
