INGREDIENTS
4 oz Top Sirloin Steak
1 Large Egg
1 tsp Unsalted Butter
2 Garlic Cloves
1 tsp Olive Oil
Salt and Pepper to taste
PREPARATION
Take the steak out of the refrigerator and let it come to room temperature for about 15 minutes; season generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat and add the olive oil. Once shimmering, add the steak and sear for about 3-4 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or adjust cooking time to your preferred doneness.
During the last minute of cooking, reduce the heat to medium, add the butter along with the minced garlic. Spoon the garlic butter over the steak continuously until well coated and fragrant.
Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest for a couple of minutes.
In the same skillet, gently crack the egg and cook it sunny-side-up in the remaining garlic butter, being careful not to break the yolk. Cook until the whites are set and the edges slightly crisp.
Plate the steak and top with the sunny egg. Drizzle any remaining garlic butter from the pan over the top. Serve immediately.
