Savor the rich flavors of a perfectly seared sirloin steak enhanced by fragrant garlic and fresh herbs, paired with crispy roasted baby potatoes. This dish balances a delightful umami taste and a hint of buttery richness, making it a satisfying meal for dinner.
INGREDIENTS
6 oz Sirloin Steak
150 g Baby Potatoes
2 cloves Garlic
2 sprigs Fresh Rosemary
1 tsp Butter
1 tsp Olive Oil
Salt & Pepper to taste
PREPARATION
Preheat your oven to 400°F.
Toss the baby potatoes with a drizzle of olive oil, a pinch of salt and pepper, and a sprig of fresh rosemary, then spread them evenly on a baking sheet. Roast for 20-25 minutes until tender and slightly crispy.
While the potatoes roast, pat the sirloin steak dry and season both sides generously with salt, pepper, and minced garlic (from 1 of the 2 garlic cloves).
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add the remaining olive oil. Once hot, place the steak in the skillet and sear for about 3-4 minutes per side, depending on desired doneness.
During the last minute of cooking, add the butter and remaining minced garlic (or finely chopped using the second clove) along with the extra sprig of rosemary. Spoon the melted herb garlic butter over the steak as it finishes cooking.
Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes. Serve alongside the roasted baby potatoes for a balanced, flavorful meal.
