Seared Salmon Filet with Steamed Asparagus and Garlic Cauliflower Mash
Enjoy a beautifully seared salmon filet paired with tender steamed asparagus and a creamy garlic-infused cauliflower mash. This dish brings together robust flavors and a light, satisfying texture that highlights the natural freshness of each ingredient.
INGREDIENTS
6 oz Salmon Filet (approx. 170g)
1 cup Steamed Asparagus (approx. 134g)
1 cup Cauliflower (approx. 107g)
1/4 cup Unsweetened Almond Milk (approx. 60g)
1 tsp Olive Oil (approx. 4.5g)
1 clove Garlic
PREPARATION
Pat the salmon filet dry and season lightly with salt and pepper.
Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat and add a drizzle of olive oil. Sear the salmon filet skin-side down for about 3-4 minutes, then flip and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until cooked through.
While the salmon is cooking, steam the asparagus until tender, about 4-5 minutes.
Break the cauliflower into florets and steam until soft, about 8-10 minutes.
In a small pan, sauté the minced garlic in a tiny amount of olive oil until fragrant. Add the steamed cauliflower to a blender along with the sautéed garlic and unsweetened almond milk. Blend until smooth, seasoning with salt and pepper to taste.
Plate the seared salmon alongside the steamed asparagus and top the cauliflower mash with a drizzle of olive oil, if desired.
