Herb-Garlic Butter Seared Steak with Roasted Baby Potatoes
Enjoy a perfectly seared sirloin steak elevated with a drizzle of herb-infused garlic butter alongside crisp, roasted baby potatoes. This dish balances rich, savory flavors with delicate herbal notes, making for a satisfying meal at any time of day.
INGREDIENTS
6 oz Sirloin Steak (170 g)
150 g Baby Potatoes
1 tbsp Unsalted Butter (14 g)
2 cloves Garlic
2 tbsp Fresh Herbs (Rosemary & Thyme)
Salt & Black Pepper to taste
PREPARATION
Preheat your oven to 400°F. Toss the baby potatoes with a drizzle of olive oil, salt, pepper, and half of the chopped fresh herbs.
Spread the potatoes on a baking sheet and roast in the oven for 20-25 minutes until golden and crispy.
While potatoes roast, season the sirloin steak generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the steak and sear for about 3-4 minutes per side (depending on thickness) until a caramelized crust forms.
Reduce the heat to medium-low and add the butter, garlic, and remaining fresh herbs to the pan. Spoon the melting herb-garlic butter over the steak for an extra flavor infusion during the last minute of cooking.
Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest for 5 minutes. Slice the steak against the grain and serve alongside the roasted baby potatoes.
