Spicy Lime Steak Quesadilla with Bell Peppers
Enjoy a flavorful quesadilla featuring tender, spicy lime-marinated flank steak paired with sweet, crisp bell peppers and a touch of melted low-fat cheese, all nestled in a whole wheat tortilla for a satisfying and balanced meal.
INGREDIENTS
4 oz Flank Steak
1 medium Whole Wheat Tortilla
1/2 cup Bell Pepper
1/4 cup Low-Fat Shredded Cheese
1 tbsp Lime Juice
1 tsp Spices blend (Cumin, Chili Powder, Salt, Black Pepper)
PREPARATION
Thinly slice the flank steak and marinate it in lime juice, spices, and a pinch of salt for at least 15 minutes.
Sauté the marinated steak in a hot skillet over medium-high heat until it is cooked to your desired doneness, about 3-4 minutes per side.
Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside. In the same skillet, lightly sauté the sliced bell peppers for 2-3 minutes until slightly softened.
Place the whole wheat tortilla in the skillet over medium heat. Layer with the cooked steak, sautéed bell peppers, and sprinkle the low-fat shredded cheese evenly over the top.
Fold the tortilla in half and cook for another 2 minutes on each side until the tortilla is crisp and the cheese is melted.
Remove from heat, slice into wedges, and serve immediately.
