Enjoy a beautifully balanced dinner featuring a perfectly seared salmon fillet accompanied by tender, steamed asparagus and a creamy garlic-infused mashed cauliflower. This plate is a celebration of natural flavors, combining the richness of salmon with light, fresh sides for a satisfying, clean meal.
INGREDIENTS
6 ounces Salmon Fillet
1 tablespoon Olive Oil
1 cup Cauliflower
5 Asparagus Spears
1 Garlic Clove
1 Lemon Wedge
Salt & Pepper to taste
PREPARATION
Pat the salmon fillet dry and season both sides lightly with salt and pepper.
Heat half of the olive oil in a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, gently place the salmon skin-side down (if applicable) and sear for about 3-4 minutes per side until a golden crust forms and the fish is just cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
Meanwhile, steam the asparagus in a steamer basket or in the microwave with a splash of water for about 3-4 minutes until crisp-tender.
For the garlic mashed cauliflower, steam the cauliflower florets along with the garlic clove until very tender, approximately 8-10 minutes. Transfer to a bowl, add the remaining olive oil, and mash until smooth. Season with a pinch of salt and freshly ground pepper to taste.
Plate the seared salmon alongside the steamed asparagus and a generous serving of garlic mashed cauliflower. Squeeze a lemon wedge over the salmon for a burst of freshness before serving.
