Preheat the oven to 425°F for roasting the broccoli.
Pat the salmon dry with a paper towel. In a small bowl, mix the chopped fresh herbs, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Press this herb mixture onto the flesh side of the salmon fillet to create a crust.
Heat a nonstick skillet over medium-high heat and add the olive oil. Once the oil is hot, place the salmon fillet, herb-side down, and sear for about 3-4 minutes until a golden crust forms.
Carefully flip the salmon and sear the other side for an additional 2-3 minutes. The salmon does not need to be fully cooked through at this point as it will finish in the oven.
Meanwhile, toss the broccoli with a pinch of salt, pepper, and a drizzle of olive oil on a baking sheet.
Place the broccoli in the preheated oven and roast for 10-12 minutes until tender and slightly crisp on the edges.
After searing, if desired, finish cooking the salmon in the preheated oven for an additional 3-5 minutes until it reaches your preferred level of doneness.
Plate the salmon with a side of roasted broccoli and serve immediately.
