Savor a perfectly seared 5-ounce top sirloin steak lightly brushed with a homemade herb-garlic butter, paired with crispy roasted baby potatoes. This dish melds the rich flavors of garlic and fresh herbs with the natural succulence of beef and the comforting, roasted notes of potatoes, making it a balanced and delicious meal.
INGREDIENTS
5 oz Top Sirloin Steak
150 grams Baby Potatoes
1 tsp Herb-Garlic Butter
1 Garlic Clove
1 tbsp Fresh Herbs
1 tsp Olive Oil
Salt and Pepper to taste
PREPARATION
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
Halve the baby potatoes and toss them with olive oil, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
Spread the potatoes on a baking sheet and roast in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes until golden and fork-tender.
While the potatoes roast, season the 5 oz top sirloin steak with salt and pepper on both sides.
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat until very hot. Add the steak to the skillet and sear for about 3-4 minutes on each side for medium-rare, adjusting time to your preferred doneness.
In the last minute of cooking, add the herb-garlic butter along with a minced garlic clove and fresh herbs to the pan. Spoon the melted butter over the steak to enhance its flavor.
Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest for 3-5 minutes before slicing.
Plate the sliced steak alongside the roasted baby potatoes. Drizzle any remaining herb butter from the pan over the steak for extra flavor.
