Seared Salmon Fillet with Steamed Green Beans and Cauliflower Mash
Enjoy a perfectly seared salmon fillet resting atop a bed of crisp steamed green beans and velvety cauliflower mash. This dish marries the delicate flavor of salmon with the hearty comfort of creamy mash, accented by a drizzle of olive oil and a hint of butter for extra richness.
INGREDIENTS
6 oz Salmon Fillet (170g)
1 cup Green Beans (125g)
1 cup Cauliflower (107g)
1 tsp Olive Oil (4.2g)
1 tsp Butter (4.7g)
Salt and Pepper to taste
PREPARATION
Season the salmon fillet with salt and pepper on both sides.
Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat and add the teaspoon of olive oil.
Place the salmon skin-side down (if applicable) and sear for about 3-4 minutes. Flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes until the flesh is opaque and flakes easily.
Meanwhile, steam the green beans in a steamer basket over boiling water for about 5-6 minutes until tender-crisp.
In a separate pot, steam the cauliflower florets for about 8-10 minutes until very tender.
Transfer the steamed cauliflower to a blender or food processor, add the teaspoon of butter, and blend until smooth. Season with salt and pepper.
Plate the salmon alongside the green beans and a generous serving of cauliflower mash, and serve while warm.
