Savor the rich flavors of this crispy pistachio-crusted salmon, perfectly paired with a zesty citrus-ginger glaze. The nutty crunch of pistachios meets the juicy, tender salmon, all elevated by a bright, fresh glaze that ties the dish together beautifully.
INGREDIENTS
5 oz Salmon Fillet
15 g Pistachios, shelled
2 Tbsp Fresh Orange Juice
1 tsp Fresh Ginger
1 tsp Honey
1 tsp Olive Oil
Salt and Black Pepper to taste
PREPARATION
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Using a food processor, blend the pistachios until coarsely ground. Transfer to a shallow bowl.
Pat the salmon fillet dry with paper towels and season both sides lightly with salt and black pepper.
Brush the top of the salmon lightly with olive oil.
Press the oiled side of the salmon into the ground pistachios until well coated.
Place the salmon, pistachio side up, on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is just cooked through.
While the salmon is baking, prepare the glaze by combining fresh orange juice, grated fresh ginger, and honey in a small saucepan. Bring to a simmer over medium heat and allow it to reduce slightly, roughly 3-4 minutes.
Once the salmon is done, drizzle the citrus-ginger glaze over the top.
Serve immediately and enjoy the balance of crisp nutty flavor with the bright, tangy glaze.
