INGREDIENTS
200g Cauliflower
1 large Egg
0.75 cup shredded Part-Skim Mozzarella
0.25 cup Tomato Sauce
0.25 cup grated Parmesan Cheese
0.25 cup Fresh Basil
1 tsp Dried Oregano
Salt and Pepper to taste
PREPARATION
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Rice the cauliflower by pulsing florets in a food processor until fine. Transfer the riced cauliflower into a microwave-safe bowl and microwave for 5 minutes to soften.
Place the microwaved cauliflower in a clean kitchen towel, squeeze out as much excess moisture as possible, and transfer to a mixing bowl.
Mix in the egg, dried oregano, salt, and pepper with the cauliflower until well combined. Press this mixture onto the prepared baking sheet into a thin, even round crust.
Bake the cauliflower crust in the preheated oven for 15-18 minutes or until firm and lightly golden.
Remove the crust from the oven and spread an even layer of tomato sauce over it. Top with the shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheeses.
Return the pizza to the oven and bake for an additional 7-10 minutes until the cheeses are melted and slightly bubbly.
Remove from the oven, garnish with fresh basil, slice, and serve warm.
