Savor a beautifully seared, golden salmon fillet paired perfectly with crisp, steamed asparagus and a velvety cauliflower mash. This dish is a harmonious blend of natural flavors and textures – the succulent salmon, the tender asparagus, and the creamy, garlicky mash come together to form a dinner that’s both nutritious and satisfying.
INGREDIENTS
7 ounces Salmon Fillet (~200g)
8 Asparagus Spears (~120g)
1 cup Cauliflower (~107g)
1 tsp Olive Oil
1 Lemon Wedge
Salt and Pepper to taste
PREPARATION
Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Season the salmon fillet with salt and pepper.
Add olive oil to the skillet and sear the salmon for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the exterior is crispy and the interior reaches your desired doneness.
Meanwhile, steam the asparagus in a steamer basket over boiling water for about 4-5 minutes until tender but still crisp.
For the cauliflower mash, steam the cauliflower florets until soft, about 8-10 minutes. Then transfer to a bowl and mash with a fork or immersion blender until smooth. Season with a pinch of salt and pepper.
Plate the seared salmon, arrange the steamed asparagus alongside, and serve with a generous scoop of cauliflower mash. Garnish with a fresh lemon wedge to squeeze over the salmon.
