Savor a beautifully seared sirloin steak infused with garlic and herb butter, paired with crispy roasted baby potatoes. This dish balances savory flavors and satisfying textures, perfect for a hearty dinner that feels both indulgent and nutritious.
INGREDIENTS
6 oz Sirloin Steak
150 g Baby Potatoes
1 tsp Unsalted Butter
1 clove Garlic
1 tsp Olive Oil
1 sprig Fresh Rosemary
1 sprig Fresh Thyme
Salt and Black Pepper to taste
PREPARATION
Preheat your oven to 400°F.
Wash the baby potatoes and cut them in halves. Toss them in a bowl with olive oil, salt, pepper, and finely chopped rosemary and thyme.
Spread the potatoes on a baking sheet and roast in the oven for 20-25 minutes until they are golden and tender.
Season the sirloin steak generously with salt and black pepper on both sides.
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add a drizzle of olive oil to the pan.
Place the steak in the hot skillet and sear for about 3-4 minutes on each side for medium-rare, adjusting the time to your preferred doneness.
In the last minute of cooking, add the butter and a crushed garlic clove to the pan, allowing the steak to baste in the herb-garlic butter.
Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.
Plate the steak alongside the roasted baby potatoes and garnish with extra fresh herbs if desired.
