INGREDIENTS
300 grams Firm Tofu
200 grams Broccoli
1 tablespoon Cornstarch
1/2 tablespoon Sesame Oil
1 tablespoon Sesame Seeds
1 tablespoon Low Sodium Soy Sauce
1 teaspoon Grated Fresh Ginger
1 clove Minced Garlic
PREPARATION
Preheat your oven to 425°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Press the tofu to remove excess moisture, then cut it into bite-sized cubes.
In a bowl, toss the tofu cubes with cornstarch until evenly coated.
Heat the sesame oil in a non-stick pan over medium-high heat. Add the tofu and cook until all sides are golden and crispy, about 6-8 minutes.
While the tofu is cooking, toss the broccoli florets with a pinch of salt and a drizzle of any leftover sesame oil if desired, and spread them on the baking sheet. Roast in the oven for 15-20 minutes until tender and slightly charred.
In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, grated ginger, and minced garlic.
Once the tofu is crispy, transfer it to a serving bowl and drizzle with the ginger-soy mixture, then sprinkle with sesame seeds.
Add the roasted broccoli to the bowl or serve on the side. Toss gently to combine flavors before serving.
