INGREDIENTS
400g Extra Firm Tofu
1 tbsp Olive Oil
1 tbsp Lemon Juice
2 Garlic Cloves
1 tsp Fresh Rosemary
1 tsp Fresh Thyme
Salt and Pepper to taste
PREPARATION
- Drain and press the tofu for at least 20 minutes to remove excess water.
- Slice the pressed tofu into 1/2-inch thick steaks.
- In a shallow dish, combine olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, chopped rosemary, and thyme. Season with salt and pepper.
- Marinate the tofu steaks in the herb mixture for at least 15 minutes, turning occasionally to ensure even coating.
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the tofu steaks and sear for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden and crispy.
- Remove from heat and serve immediately. Enjoy your herbed tofu steaks as a standalone protein-rich dish or paired with a fresh salad.
