Enjoy a delicious, hearty dinner featuring a perfectly pan-seared sirloin steak paired with crispy roasted garlic butter potatoes. The rich flavors of seared beef complemented by the aromatic garlic and the smooth butter-infused potatoes create a comforting and satisfying meal.
INGREDIENTS
5 oz Beef Sirloin Steak (141g)
150g White Potato
2 cloves Garlic
1 tablespoon Unsalted Butter (14g)
1 teaspoon Extra Virgin Olive Oil (5g)
Pinch of Salt
Pinch of Black Pepper
PREPARATION
Preheat the oven to 425°F for the roasted potatoes.
Wash and dice the white potato into 1-inch cubes. Toss the cubes with a pinch of salt, a pinch of black pepper, and half of the minced garlic.
Spread the potato cubes on a baking sheet and roast in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, stirring once halfway, until golden and tender.
While the potatoes are roasting, pat the steak dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
Heat the extra virgin olive oil in a heavy skillet over medium-high heat.
Once the oil is hot, add the steak and sear for about 3-4 minutes on each side depending on thickness and desired doneness.
During the last minute of cooking, add the unsalted butter and the remaining minced garlic to the pan. Spoon the melted garlic butter over the steak.
Remove the steak from the pan and let it rest for a couple of minutes before serving alongside the roasted garlic butter potatoes.
