Enjoy a hearty twist on the classic burger with a melty mozzarella center paired with crispy baked zucchini sticks. This dish delivers a balanced blend of lean protein and fresh vegetables, making it a satisfying meal option for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.
INGREDIENTS
5 ounces Lean Ground Beef (90% Lean)
1 ounce Part-Skim Mozzarella Cheese
1 medium Zucchini
1 teaspoon Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Salt & Pepper to taste
PREPARATION
Preheat your oven to 425°F.
Divide the lean ground beef into two equal portions. Flatten each portion into a patty shape.
Place a slice (1 ounce) of mozzarella cheese in the center of one patty. Cover with the second patty and seal the edges thoroughly to encase the cheese completely.
Season the beef patty with salt and pepper on both sides.
Cut the zucchini into sticks by slicing lengthwise after trimming the ends. Toss the zucchini sticks in olive oil, salt, and pepper.
Place the stuffed burger on a lightly greased baking sheet and arrange zucchini sticks around it.
Bake in the oven for about 15-18 minutes or until the burger is cooked to your desired doneness and the zucchini sticks become crispy.
Remove from the oven and let rest for a couple minutes before serving.
