Enjoy a beautifully seared sirloin steak, drizzled with a rich garlic butter and served alongside perfectly crispy roasted potatoes. This dish pairs the heartiness of steak with the satisfying crunch of well-roasted potatoes, creating a balanced and tantalizing meal perfect for dinner.
INGREDIENTS
5 oz Sirloin Steak
3/4 cup diced Baby Potatoes (approx. 110g)
1 tbsp Unsalted Butter
1 tsp Olive Oil
1 Garlic Clove
Pinch of Salt
Pinch of Black Pepper
Pinch of Garlic Powder
PREPARATION
Preheat your oven to 425°F for the roasted potatoes.
Toss the diced baby potatoes in a bowl with olive oil, a pinch of salt, pepper, and garlic powder until evenly coated.
Spread the potatoes on a baking sheet in a single layer and roast for 20-25 minutes or until golden and crispy, flipping halfway through.
While the potatoes roast, let the sirloin steak come to room temperature and season both sides with salt and black pepper.
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the steak and sear for about 3-4 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or adjust cooking time to your preference.
In the last minute of cooking, add butter and the minced garlic (or finely chopped garlic clove) to the pan. Spoon the melted garlic butter over the steak as it finishes cooking.
Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes.
Plate the rested steak alongside the crispy roasted potatoes and drizzle any remaining garlic butter from the pan over the top.
