Garlic Herb Pan-Seared Eye Fillet Steak with Crispy Roasted Broccoli
Savor a perfectly pan-seared eye fillet steak infused with garlic and fresh herbs, paired with crispy roasted broccoli. This dish offers a crisp and vibrant vegetable side that beautifully complements the tender, juicy steak for a balanced and flavorful meal.
INGREDIENTS
6 ounces Eye Fillet Steak
2 cups Broccoli
1 teaspoon Olive Oil
1 clove Garlic (minced)
2 sprigs Fresh Rosemary
2 sprigs Fresh Thyme
Salt & Black Pepper to taste
PREPARATION
Preheat your oven to 425°F for the broccoli.
Toss the broccoli with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Spread evenly on a baking sheet and roast for about 15-20 minutes until crispy edges form.
While the broccoli roasts, pat the eye fillet steak dry with paper towels. Season both sides generously with salt, black pepper, and lightly press fresh rosemary and thyme onto the surface.
Heat a heavy skillet over medium-high heat. Add a small drizzle of olive oil if needed.
Once the pan is hot, add the steak and sear for about 3-4 minutes on each side for medium-rare, adjusting timing based on thickness.
About a minute before finishing the steak, add the minced garlic to the pan to fry lightly and infuse the steak with flavor.
Remove the steak from the pan and let it rest for a couple of minutes before slicing.
Plate the steak alongside the crispy roasted broccoli and garnish with additional fresh herbs if desired.
