Enjoy a delicious and balanced dinner featuring a perfectly seared salmon fillet paired with crisp steamed asparagus and a creamy cauliflower mash drizzled with a hint of olive oil. This meal brings together natural flavors and textures for a satisfying and nutrient-packed plate.
INGREDIENTS
6 ounces Salmon Fillet
1 cup Asparagus
1 cup Cauliflower
1 teaspoon Olive Oil
1 clove Garlic
Salt & Pepper to taste
PREPARATION
Pat the salmon fillet dry and season with salt and pepper on both sides.
Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the salmon fillet skin-side down (if applicable) and sear for about 3-4 minutes until a crispy crust forms.
Flip the salmon and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until the fish is opaque and flakes easily with a fork. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
While the salmon cooks, steam the asparagus in a steamer basket over boiling water for about 4-5 minutes until tender-crisp.
Meanwhile, add the cauliflower florets and minced garlic into a steamer basket and steam for about 8-10 minutes until very tender.
Transfer the steamed cauliflower and garlic to a bowl and mash using a fork or potato masher. Drizzle in the olive oil and mix until smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Plate the dish by placing a generous scoop of cauliflower mash, arranging the steamed asparagus on the side, and topping with the seared salmon fillet. Serve immediately.
