Seared Salmon with Steamed Asparagus and Cauliflower Mash
Enjoy a vibrant and balanced dinner featuring perfectly seared salmon with a crisp exterior and tender, flaky interior, served alongside fresh steamed asparagus and a creamy cauliflower mash. This dish is both satisfying and lightly indulgent, anchored by the natural flavors of the ingredients.
INGREDIENTS
6 oz Salmon Fillet
1 cup Asparagus
1 cup Cauliflower (for mash)
1 tsp Olive Oil
Salt & Pepper to taste
PREPARATION
Pat the salmon fillet dry with a paper towel. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat and add the olive oil.
Place the salmon in the skillet skin-side down and sear for about 4-5 minutes until the skin is crispy.
Carefully flip the salmon and cook for another 3-4 minutes until the exterior is golden and the fish is opaque in the center.
While the salmon is cooking, steam the asparagus until tender, about 3-4 minutes.
For the cauliflower mash, steam or boil cauliflower florets until very tender (about 8 minutes), then mash with a fork or immersion blender. Season with a pinch of salt and pepper.
Plate the seared salmon with a side of steamed asparagus and a scoop of warm cauliflower mash. Serve immediately.
