PREPARATION
Press the tofu to remove excess moisture. Cut it into 1-inch cubes.
Place tofu cubes in a bowl and toss gently with 1 tsp cornstarch, salt, and pepper if desired for extra flavor.
Heat half the olive oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add the tofu cubes. Sauté until all sides are golden and crispy, about 6-8 minutes. Remove tofu and set aside.
In the same pan, add the remaining olive oil and minced garlic. Sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
