Seared Salmon with Garlic Green Beans and Sweet Potato Mash
Enjoy a perfectly seared 5-ounce salmon paired with a creamy sweet potato mash and crisp garlic-sautéed green beans. This dish offers a delightful balance of flavors and textures—a rich, succulent salmon complemented by the natural sweetness of sweet potatoes and the vibrant crunch of green beans with a hint of garlic.
INGREDIENTS
5 oz Salmon Fillet
1 medium Sweet Potato
1 cup Green Beans
1 tbsp Olive Oil
2 cloves Garlic
Salt & Pepper (to taste)
PREPARATION
Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat and season the 5-ounce salmon fillet with salt and pepper on both sides.
Lightly oil the skillet using a small amount of olive oil. Once hot, sear the salmon for about 3-4 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches your preferred doneness.
While the salmon cooks, peel and cube the sweet potato. Boil the cubes in lightly salted water until tender, about 10-12 minutes, then drain and mash with a fork. Adjust salt and pepper to taste.
Trim the ends of the green beans and mince the garlic cloves. In another pan, heat the remaining olive oil over medium heat. Add the garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
Add the green beans to the garlic oil and toss to coat. Sauté the green beans for 4-5 minutes until they are tender-crisp, seasoning with a pinch of salt and pepper.
Plate the sweet potato mash as a base, place the seared salmon on top, and arrange the garlic green beans on the side. Serve warm and enjoy!
