This dish offers a delightful balance of zesty citrus, aromatic garlic, and the tangy sweetness of balsamic, making each bite a burst of culinary delight.
INGREDIENTS
7 oz Chicken Breast
1 cup Brussels Sprouts
1 tsp Olive Oil
2 tbsp Lemon Juice
2 cloves Garlic
1 tbsp Balsamic Vinegar
Salt and Black Pepper (to taste)
PREPARATION
Pat the chicken breast dry and season both sides with salt and pepper. In a shallow dish, combine the lemon juice, minced garlic, and a drizzle of olive oil. Marinate the chicken for 15 minutes.
While the chicken marinates, trim and halve the Brussels sprouts. Toss them with a pinch of salt, black pepper, and a drizzle of olive oil.
Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated chicken breast and sear for about 5-6 minutes on each side or until fully cooked and golden brown. Remove and set aside.
In the same skillet, add the Brussels sprouts cut side down. Sear for 4-5 minutes until the cut sides are caramelized and sprouts are tender.
Drizzle the balsamic vinegar over the Brussels sprouts in the skillet, tossing gently to coat and allow the glaze to reduce slightly, about 2 minutes.
Plate the chicken breast alongside the balsamic-glazed Brussels sprouts. Optionally, drizzle any remaining pan juices over the chicken for extra flavor.
