Pan-Seared Chicken with Crispy Balsamic Glazed Brussels Sprouts
Enjoy a flavorful plate featuring tender, pan-seared chicken breast paired with perfectly crispy Brussels sprouts tossed in a tangy balsamic glaze. This dish beautifully balances savory protein with a hint of sweetness and acidity for an exciting, satisfying meal.
INGREDIENTS
6 oz Chicken Breast
1.5 cups Brussels Sprouts
1 tbsp Olive Oil
1 tbsp Balsamic Vinegar
1 tsp Honey
1 clove Garlic
Pinch of Salt
Pinch of Black Pepper
PREPARATION
Pat the chicken breast dry and season both sides with a pinch of salt and black pepper.
Heat half of the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the chicken breast and sear for about 5-6 minutes per side or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
While the chicken cooks, trim and halve the Brussels sprouts. In the same skillet, add the remaining olive oil if needed, and add the Brussels sprouts cut side down. Allow them to sear for about 4-5 minutes until they begin to crisp and develop a nice color.
Add the minced garlic (from one clove) to the Brussels sprouts and stir for a minute until fragrant.
In a small bowl, combine the balsamic vinegar and honey. Drizzle this mixture over the Brussels sprouts and continue to cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the glaze to reduce slightly and coat the sprouts.
Slice the chicken breast and serve atop or alongside the crispy glazed Brussels sprouts. Enjoy your balanced, protein-packed meal!
