Enjoy a brilliantly balanced dish featuring tender, baked chicken coated in a light almond flour crust, finished with a vibrant sweet and spicy garlic sauce. This recipe offers a delightful crunch paired with a zesty, aromatic sauce that elevates the natural flavors of the chicken.
INGREDIENTS
5 oz Chicken Breast (142g)
2 tbsp Almond Flour (14g)
1 large Egg White (33g)
2 Garlic Cloves
1 tsp Honey
1 tsp Sriracha Sauce
1 tsp Low Sodium Soy Sauce
1 tsp Apple Cider Vinegar
Salt & Pepper to taste
PREPARATION
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Pat the chicken breast dry and season with salt and pepper.
In a shallow dish, pour in the egg white. In another dish, combine the almond flour with a pinch of salt and pepper for extra flavor.
Dip the chicken breast first into the egg white, then coat evenly with the almond flour mixture.
Place the coated chicken on the prepared baking sheet and bake for about 20-25 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and the coating is crispy, turning halfway if needed.
While the chicken bakes, prepare the garlic sauce. Finely mince the garlic cloves and combine them in a small saucepan with honey, sriracha, low sodium soy sauce, and apple cider vinegar. Warm the mixture over low heat, stirring frequently, until fragrant and slightly thickened, about 3-4 minutes.
Once the chicken is done, transfer it to a serving plate and drizzle the warm sweet and spicy garlic sauce over the top.
Serve immediately, enjoying the interplay of crispy texture and vibrant, tangy sauce.
