Seared Salmon with Garlic Mashed Potatoes and Steamed Broccoli
A comforting dinner dish featuring delicately seared salmon paired with velvety garlic mashed potatoes and tender steamed broccoli, finished with a drizzle of olive oil and a hint of lemon. A satisfying balance of flavors that feels both indulgent and nourishing.
INGREDIENTS
45 grams Salmon Fillet
340 grams White Potato
1 Garlic Clove
1 tsp Unsalted Butter
1 tbsp Olive Oil
65 grams Broccoli
1 tsp Lemon Juice
Salt and Pepper to taste
PREPARATION
Pat dry the salmon fillet and season it with salt and pepper.
Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add half the olive oil and sear the salmon for about 2-3 minutes per side until lightly golden. Remove from pan and set aside.
Peel and dice the white potatoes into even pieces. Boil in lightly salted water until tender, about 15-20 minutes.
Meanwhile, steam the broccoli in a steamer or in a covered pot with a splash of water for about 5-7 minutes until crisp-tender.
In a small saucepan, gently heat the remaining olive oil with the minced garlic until fragrant. Do not brown the garlic.
Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot. Mash them with the garlic oil, unsalted butter, and lemon juice. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Plate the garlic mashed potatoes, top with the seared salmon, and serve alongside the steamed broccoli. Enjoy your comforting dinner!
