Seared Salmon with Garlic Green Beans and Brown Rice
Enjoy a beautifully seared salmon paired with crisp garlic green beans and nutty brown rice. The dish balances a rich, buttery salmon flavor with the freshness of lightly sautéed green beans and the wholesome texture of brown rice, all harmonized with a hint of garlic and a drizzle of olive oil.
INGREDIENTS
6 oz Salmon Fillet
1 cup Green Beans
1/2 cup cooked Brown Rice
1/4 tbsp Olive Oil
1 clove Garlic
Salt (to taste)
Black Pepper (to taste)
PREPARATION
Pat the salmon fillet dry and season with salt and pepper.
Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat and add 1/4 tablespoon of olive oil.
Sear the salmon fillet skin-side down (if applicable) for about 3-4 minutes, then flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes until cooked through but still moist.
While the salmon is cooking, bring a pot of water to boil. Add the green beans and a pinch of salt. Blanch for 2-3 minutes until the beans are bright green and slightly tender.
Drain the green beans and return them to the pan with a little olive oil. Add a minced garlic clove and sauté over medium heat for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
Reheat or warm the pre-cooked brown rice as needed.
Plate the seared salmon alongside the garlic green beans and a serving of brown rice. Garnish with an extra pinch of black pepper or fresh herbs if desired and serve immediately.
