Lemon Garlic Pan-Seared Chicken with Sautéed Greens
Enjoy a vibrant and flavorful meal featuring a perfectly pan-seared chicken breast infused with bright lemon and aromatic garlic, served atop a bed of tender, sautéed greens. The dish offers a harmonious balance of zesty citrus and savory garlic notes, lightly complemented by the richness of olive oil and the natural freshness of spinach.
INGREDIENTS
6 ounces Chicken Breast (170g)
100 grams Fresh Spinach
1 tablespoon Extra Virgin Olive Oil (14g)
2 cloves Garlic (6g)
1 tablespoon Fresh Lemon Juice (10g)
Salt & Pepper to taste
PREPARATION
Pat the chicken breast dry and season both sides generously with salt and pepper.
In a small bowl, combine the lemon juice and minced garlic; set aside.
Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat until it shimmers.
Place the chicken breast in the skillet and cook for about 5-6 minutes on one side until a golden crust forms.
Flip the chicken and pour the lemon-garlic mixture over it, cooking for an additional 5-6 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside to rest for a few minutes.
In the same skillet, add the fresh spinach and sauté for 2-3 minutes until just wilted, stirring gently to coat with the remaining flavors.
Slice the chicken breast if desired and serve over the bed of sautéed greens, drizzling any remaining pan juices on top.
