Enjoy a beautifully seared steak, infused with garlic and fresh herbs, paired with tender roasted asparagus. This dish offers a savory, balanced blend of flavors with a crisp, caramelized finish on the asparagus and a juicy, flavorful steak that comes together quickly for a healthy meal.
INGREDIENTS
5 oz Sirloin Steak
8 spears Fresh Asparagus
1 tbsp Olive Oil
2 cloves Garlic
2 sprigs Fresh Rosemary
2 sprigs Fresh Thyme
1 tsp Unsalted Butter
Salt & Pepper to taste
PREPARATION
Preheat your oven to 425°F.
Trim the asparagus and place them on a baking sheet. Drizzle with half of the olive oil, sprinkle a pinch of salt and pepper, and toss to coat evenly.
Roast the asparagus in the oven for 10-12 minutes until tender and slightly charred.
While the asparagus roasts, pat the steak dry and season both sides with salt and pepper.
In a skillet over medium-high heat, add the remaining olive oil. When the oil is shimmering, add the steak.
Sear the steak for about 3-4 minutes on each side for medium-rare, adjusting time for desired doneness.
During the last minute of cooking, add the butter, garlic, rosemary, and thyme to the skillet. Spoon the melted butter and herb mixture over the steak.
Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest for 5 minutes.
Slice the steak against the grain and serve alongside the roasted asparagus.
