Pan-Seared Garlic Butter Steak with Crispy Roasted Potatoes
Savor the rich flavors of a perfectly seared top sirloin steak enhanced with a delicate garlic butter finish, paired with crispy roasted potatoes tossed in olive oil and herbs. A satisfying meal that strikes a balance between indulgence and nutrition.
INGREDIENTS
6 oz Top Sirloin Steak (~170g)
1 small Russet Potato (~150g)
1 tsp Olive Oil
1/2 tbsp Butter (~7g)
1 clove Garlic
1 tbsp Fresh Parsley
Salt and Pepper to taste
PREPARATION
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) for the potatoes.
Wash the potato and cut it into evenly sized cubes. Toss them with olive oil, salt, and pepper, then spread on a baking sheet.
Roast the potatoes in the oven for about 20-25 minutes, turning halfway through, until golden and crispy.
While the potatoes roast, season the steak with salt and pepper on both sides.
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the steak and sear for about 3-4 minutes on each side for medium-rare (adjust time as needed for your preferred doneness).
In the last minute of cooking, add the butter and a minced garlic clove to the pan, spooning the melted garlic butter over the steak.
Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes.
Slice the steak, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve alongside the crispy roasted potatoes.
