INGREDIENTS
5 oz Lean Sirloin Steak (142 g)
1 cup Broccoli (91 g)
1 tsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil (4.5 g)
2 cloves Garlic
1 tbsp Fresh Herbs (Rosemary & Thyme)
Salt and Pepper to taste
PREPARATION
Take the sirloin steak out of the refrigerator and let it come to room temperature for about 15 minutes.
Season the steak generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
In a small bowl, mince the garlic cloves and roughly chop the fresh herbs.
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add half of the olive oil.
Place the steak in the skillet and sear for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until a tasty golden crust forms. During the last minute, sprinkle the minced garlic and chopped herbs over the steak.
While the steak is resting (about 5 minutes), preheat your oven to 425°F for the broccoli.
Toss the broccoli florets with the remaining olive oil, salt, pepper, and a pinch of the chopped herbs.
Spread the broccoli on a baking sheet in a single layer and roast in the oven for about 12-15 minutes until crisp at the edges.
Slice the rested steak against the grain and serve with the crispy roasted broccoli on the side.
