Savor a perfectly pan-seared lean sirloin steak kissed by garlic butter, paired with crispy roasted potatoes. This dish delivers a satisfying balance of savory flavors and textures, ideal for a hearty dinner that aligns with your nutritional goals.
INGREDIENTS
6 oz Lean Sirloin Steak (170g)
1 medium Red Potato (150g)
0.5 tbsp Unsalted Butter (7g)
2 cloves Garlic (6g)
1 tsp Olive Oil (4.5g)
1 tbsp Fresh Parsley (3.8g)
Salt and Black Pepper to taste
PREPARATION
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Wash and cut the red potato into bite-size cubes, then toss them with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
Spread the potatoes on a baking sheet and roast in the oven for about 20-25 minutes or until crispy and golden, stirring halfway through.
Season the lean sirloin steak generously with salt and black pepper on both sides.
Heat a heavy skillet over medium-high heat. Add a portion of butter to the skillet and once melted, place the steak in the pan, searing for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until desired doneness is reached.
During the last minute of cooking, add the minced garlic (from 2 cloves) to the pan, basting the steak with garlic butter as it finishes cooking.
Remove the steak from the pan and let it rest for a few minutes. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley.
Plate the rested steak alongside the crispy roasted potatoes, and serve immediately.
