A hearty, comforting beef chili slow-cooked with lean ground beef, kidney beans, and a medley of tomatoes and bell peppers. Perfectly spiced for warmth and depth of flavor, this chili offers a nourishing balance of rich protein and vibrant vegetables in every bowl.
INGREDIENTS
7 oz Lean Ground Beef (93% lean)
3.75 oz Kidney Beans, drained (approx. 1/4 can per serving)
3.63 oz Diced Tomatoes (approx. 1/4 can per serving)
1 medium Green Bell Pepper, diced
1 medium Onion, diced
3 cloves Garlic, minced
1 tbsp Chili Powder
1 tsp Ground Cumin
Salt and Pepper to taste
PREPARATION
In a skillet over medium heat, lightly brown the lean ground beef until it is mostly cooked, breaking it up into small pieces. Drain excess fat if needed.
Transfer the partially cooked beef into a slow cooker.
Add the drained kidney beans, diced tomatoes (with their juice), diced green bell pepper, diced onion, and minced garlic to the slow cooker.
Sprinkle in the chili powder and ground cumin, and season with salt and pepper to taste.
Stir all ingredients to combine evenly.
Set your slow cooker to low heat and cook for 6 to 8 hours, or on high for 3 to 4 hours, until flavors meld and veggies are tender.
Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary before serving.
