Savor the delicious simplicity of a perfectly seared sirloin steak enveloped in a rich garlic butter sauce, paired with crispy roasted baby potatoes. This dish strikes a harmonious balance between robust flavors and satisfying textures, making every bite a delightful experience.
INGREDIENTS
5 ounces Sirloin Steak
1 medium Baby Potato (approx 150g)
2 cloves Garlic
1/2 tbsp Unsalted Butter
1 tsp Olive Oil
Pinch of Salt
Pinch of Black Pepper
1 sprig Fresh Parsley
PREPARATION
Preheat oven to 425°F for roasting the potatoes.
Wash the baby potato, cut it into halves or quarters depending on size, and toss with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
Spread the potatoes on a baking sheet and roast in the oven for 20-25 minutes until they are golden and crispy.
While the potatoes roast, pat the sirloin steak dry with paper towels. Season generously with salt and black pepper on both sides.
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the steak and sear for about 3-4 minutes per side (adjust time based on thickness and desired doneness).
In the final minute of cooking, add the unsalted butter and minced garlic (from the cloves) to the skillet, spooning the melted garlic butter over the steak.
Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest for a couple of minutes to redistribute the juices.
Plate the rested steak alongside the roasted potatoes and garnish with a sprig of fresh parsley. Serve immediately.
