Pan-Seared Garlic Butter Steak with Crispy Roasted Potatoes
Savor a perfectly pan-seared sirloin steak complemented by a rich garlic butter sauce, paired with crispy roasted baby potatoes infused with fresh rosemary and a hint of olive oil. This dish delivers robust flavors and a satisfying texture that balances the tender meat with the crunchy potatoes.
INGREDIENTS
6 ounces Sirloin Steak (170g)
150g Baby Potatoes
1 tsp Salted Butter (5g)
1 tsp Olive Oil (4.5g)
1 Garlic clove
1 sprig Fresh Rosemary
Pinch of Salt
Pinch of Black Pepper
PREPARATION
Preheat your oven to 425°F for roasting the potatoes.
Wash and dice the baby potatoes into even chunks. Toss them with olive oil, a pinch of salt, black pepper, and torn rosemary leaves.
Spread the potatoes on a baking sheet in a single layer and roast in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes until crisp and golden, flipping halfway through.
While the potatoes roast, season the sirloin steak on both sides with salt and black pepper.
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the steak and sear for about 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare (adjust to preferred doneness).
In the last minute of cooking the steak, add the butter and minced garlic to the skillet. Spoon the melted garlic butter over the steak for extra flavor.
Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest for a couple of minutes before slicing.
Plate the sliced steak alongside the crispy roasted potatoes, drizzling any remaining garlic butter from the pan over the top.
